Centralized Flexbars and Centralized Lift Subs are designed to be a superior
alternative to conventional composite or metal rod guides. By machining
the guide area to the unit, movement of the guide or "slippage" is eliminated.
The fluted area of the Centralizer provides maximum fluid flow area and
minimum restriction or "piston effect" Built with the benefits of the
Flexbar design, this allows your sucker rod string, sinkerbar string or
valve rod (or tube) to remain centered in the tubing string minimizing
contact area and wear on all related equipment.
The Centralized Flexbars and Centralized Lift Subs can be used as a
guide between Sinkerbars or sucker rods in any portion of or all along
the rod string. In deviated wells this results in maximum standoff clearance
and longitudinal alignment of the pumping string. This can be especially
helpful in maintaining high minimum loads so necessary for efficient fiberglass
or steel sucker rod designs.
When run above an insert pump, the Master Centralized Flexbar
has proven effective in reducing pull rod or pull tube failures by centering
the pull rod or tube with two guides spaced two feet apart. Reduced wear
and failures in the pull rod guide and bushing assem bly are also possible.
By locating a Master Centralized Flexbar above a small diameter sinkerbar
(1 3/8" or 1 1/2") used as a pull rod for tubing pumps, greater strength,
rigidity and longitudinal alignment should result in reduced wear, failures
and increased pump efficiency. (More than one sinkerbar may be required
for tubing pumps with effective strokes greater than 25 feet.) |
